Bring your laptop and smartphone for this FREE hands-on training session with Mike Reilley, SPJ-Google News Lab trainer and founder of The Journalist’s Toolbox.

Mike will show you how to build graphics, fact-check photos and verify news, scrape data from websites and .pdfs. You’ll use tools such as:

  • Google Fusion Tables
  • MyMaps
  • Google Earth Pro
  • Google Trends
  • Google Reverse Image Search (verification)
  • Google Streetview
  • Google Cardboard

You’ll also do some data scraping with Google Sheets and tabula.technology.
